A new counter without demolition
Replacing countertops usually means tearing out old laminate or tile, possibly damaging cabinets and waiting weeks for fabrication. Epoxy countertops offer another route. We prepare your existing counter and pour a self-leveling epoxy over it, creating a seamless surface that looks like marble, granite or a custom design. The project typically takes a few days and avoids the mess of demolition.
This is an especially good fit for condo and ranch home kitchens here, many of which still have original or older laminate counters on solid cabinets.

How we install
We start by inspecting the existing counter. Laminate must be firmly attached. Tile must be solid, with grout lines filled. Loose areas are repaired. We remove or protect the sink, faucet and appliances as needed and cover cabinets, floors and walls.
Next, we sand and prime the surface and apply a base coat to set the background color. Then we pour the decorative layer, creating veins, swirls or patterns by hand with pigments and tools. A clear top layer goes over everything for depth and protection. Edges are wrapped so the counter looks like a solid slab. After curing, we reinstall fixtures and clean up.
Popular looks
White marble. Soft white with gray or gold veins brightens small kitchens and pairs well with white or gray cabinets.
Dark stone. Black, charcoal or deep blue with white or metallic veins creates drama on islands and bars.
Warm neutrals. Cream, beige and tan blends work with wood cabinets and warm tile floors.
Metallic and custom. Metallic pigments, ocean-inspired blues or unique color combinations make a statement in bars and entertainment areas.
We bring sample boards and photos to help you decide.
Durability and care
Epoxy countertops are hard, seamless and water resistant. They clean easily with mild soap and water. They are not as heat resistant as natural stone, so always use trivets under hot pots and pans. Cutting boards are a must, because knives can scratch the surface. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners. Minor scratches can often be buffed out, and the surface can be refreshed with a new clear coat if needed.
Direct sun from a window can cause some epoxy formulas to yellow over time. If your counter gets strong sun, we use a UV-resistant formula and may recommend window treatments.
Timeline
Most kitchen counters take two to three days, including preparation, pours and curing. The kitchen should not be used during that time. Light use is usually fine after about three days, with full cure in about a week.
Cost factors
Price depends on the square footage of counters, the condition of the existing surface, the number of edges and cutouts and the complexity of the design. Epoxy usually costs less than new granite or quartz, especially when you factor in demolition and possible cabinet repairs.
Condo projects
Because there is no demolition, epoxy counters work well in condos where associations limit noise and debris. Odor is managed with ventilation and low-odor products. We coordinate work hours with your building.
Questions
Can you pour over tile? Yes, after filling grout lines and leveling.
Is it food safe? Once fully cured, the epoxy we use is suitable for food contact areas. We still recommend cutting boards.
Do you do floors too? Yes. Many clients pair counters with a metallic floor in a bar or game room.
Laundry rooms and utility counters
Counters in laundry rooms and garages take a beating from detergent, bleach, paint cans and tools. A clear or solid-color epoxy pour over an old laminate or plywood top creates a tough, wipeable surface that resists water and most household chemicals. These smaller projects often take a single visit to prepare and pour, with a return trip to sand edges and reinstall hardware. They are a simple, affordable way to finish a workspace to match a newly coated floor.
